Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

You will be part of a customs team assisting with provision of Customs compliance services for internal goods movements.

You will:

  • Provide a high-level of service to the export intercompany shipments process conducted by direct reports and support to all functions involved in the process
  • Be responsible for export of intercompany shipments including SAP billing documents creation
  • Be responsible for other export documents preparation – all of types of certificates
  • Cooperate with external parties—for example customs agencies
  • Cooperate with the warehouse team and third-party logistics operators for shipment preparation

  • Ensure accuracy and correctness of customs duties
  • Ensure that all import Customs declarations are archived and audited
  • Ensure MDLZ is ‘Customs Audit Ready’ for any future audits

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Extensive knowledge of customs Laws and Regulations
  • Experience in outbound logistics or transport area
  • Practical knowledge of customs processes and documentation
  • Ability to interpret data
  • SAP experience - Microsoft Office (Excel skill: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Sumif and etc. & PPT skill)
  • Fluent English written and spoken, effective and professional email writing skills, additional European languages would be an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Action oriented, proactive and resourceful in solving problems
  • Can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability and self-motivation to excel within an environment of change
  • Strong ability to assess customs duties and taxes for shipments
  • Excellent attention to detail and analysis
  • Confidence with working across multiple locations, able to influence and partner with remote manager
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
