Job description, responsibilities and duties

The main purpose of the role is to prepare a comprehensive overview of the multiple strategies on commodity buying decisions that are to be submitted to Regional/Global Business Leaders (Presidents, CFO and Regional/Global Finance and Commodity/Procurement Leads). This includes the preparation, tracking, review and analysis of commodity strategies and coverage reports due for approval at Regional/Global PNOC meetings.

This position is very critical to support the Commodity Controlling Manager to prepare financials and perform analysis for the PNOC (Commodity Strategies Review) meetings for the EU region as well as having the exposure to the Global picture. The holder of this position is a business partner to the Commodities Price Risk Management team, Procurement and other Finance teams (Hedging Services, Treasury, Financial Planning & Reporting and Procurement Finance).

As well as being involved in important ad-hoc projects, the successful candidate will as well coordinate/assist in the preparation of annual plans/major forecasts and play a key role in the implementation of the new commodity reporting system, Kiodex.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare coverage reports for Dairy, support Oils coverage report preparation (including derivatives to provide a full picture on coverage / protection)
  • Prepare EU Sugar strategy page
  • Prepare the options tracker (tracking of derivatives)
  • Support price list preparation for quarterly standard costs updates
  • Coordinate the data inputs for the monthly PNOC (Strategy Reviews) cycle
  • Provide analysis for the financials on coverage changes, new invoices, hedging tools
  • Act as a backup for the other team Sr Analyst
  • Work on new system developments/testing (support the project team with the retirement of the Dairy tracking tool (Dirmis) and its transition to the new commodity tracking tool (Kiodex))
  • Support Commodity Controlling manager in other ad-hoc items

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while managing to specific deadlines
  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent financial studies
  • Financial Planning & Analysis experience or manufacturing controlling is a big plus
  • Fluency in English.
