Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Regional Finance Director CEE will be required to support the Managing directors within the region with the strategic direction of the organisation and act as the liaison with the parent company. The key duties to be undertaken:
- Strategic but as well operational development and challenge to the key stakeholders
- Delivery, analysis and insights provided on the monthly and quarterly finance performance of the business
- Leading teams across the region in finance, controlling, administration, purchasing, HR
- Risk mitigation and opportunity enhancement
- International travel to sites
- Supporting with health and safety
- Preparing/Organizing and conducting meetings with the local country boards
The Successful Applicant
- Experienced Finance Directors or Senior Finance Manager with minimum 5 years of experience in a similar regional role
- Controlling, audit experience ideally from Big4 + Finance Manager/Director level experience in operational finance ideally from service to automotive industry
- Management of the year end processes for the region and all of its subsidiaries
- Management of outsourced finance service providers
- Experience in leading teams in an international setting (remote management)
- Commercially oriented and have the interpersonal and influencing skills in order to operate at a strategic and operational level.
- Technical expertise (solid understanding of accounting, local statutory requirements, GAAPs and IFRS) with a strategic business understanding, an analytical approach and a high degree of commercially.
- Project finance, project management, risk management, process management experience
- Able to travel for over 50% of the week; flexible in time and location
- Fluency in English and Czech or Slovak
- Technical / automotive affinity: having a feel for technology
