UX Designer

We at Metrohm Software Department, build best-in-class software to control our instruments for chemical analysis. Spoiler: We have robots! Don’t worry, no chemical knowledge is needed for this position.

As a UX Designer you will work together with a team of user experience designers, product managers, business analysts and software engineers across different locations in Europe. Your role will be to drive relevant product discovery, definition, design, and validation activities and share your insights.

• Work closely with your SCRUM-Team, the UX-Team, product managers as part of cross-functional teams throughout the entire design process.
• Gather business needs, conduct research, and validate concepts and products with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate and document the user experience and interactivity with user journeys, sketches, storyboards, mock-ups, design specifications and/or high-fidelity prototypes.
• Evangelize UX in the entire company.
• Help improving our Design System.
• Improve your personal skills in collaboration with your UX Team lead.

And you bring …

• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate designs.
• Solid English skills, as many meetings will be held in English.
• Education in interaction design, human computer interaction or similar.
• Solid experience with design tools (e.g. Figma)
• Ability to employ complex product discovery techniques to get a detailed understanding of user behaviours and needs.
• Ability to assess and prioritize tasks as you will be working with multiple teams.
