The 18‑month Metro Potentials Program kicks off in September 2026 and offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and accelerate your career within an international retail environment.

What awaits you:

• Metro Head Office Experience: Gain hands on exposure at our Head Office in Ivanka pri Dunaji, collaborate across departments, and develop strong cross functional capabilities.
• Metro Store Assignment: Step into our store operations, engage with customers, understand our business from the ground up, and build strong commercial acumen.
• Global Exposure: Spend 4 months abroad at another METRO entity, broaden your perspective, and experience international mobility.
• Project Ownership: Each phase includes a dedicated project where you can demonstrate your skills and drive results.
• Mentorship & Tailored Journey: Work closely with your mentor to shape your development path, including the content and duration of assignments.
• International Community: Become part of a global network of trainees.
• Training Weeks: Participate in international training sessions led by experienced leaders.

Who we are looking for:

• University degree (Master’s preferred) or Bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Slovak
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
• Team‑oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Motivation to learn, grow, and take ownership of results
• Willingness to work abroad for 4 months as part of the program
• Customer‑oriented approach and readiness for hands‑on work in commercial functions
• Engagement in extracurricular activities or relevant internships is a strong advantage
