Job description, responsibilities and duties

Your responsibilities

Full P&L responsibility of the plant in Slovakia

Management and Controlling of plant departments ensuring group strategy, values and philosophy – Safety, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics and HR

Coaching and leading of your team and development of individual leadership competencies

Lead continuous improvement efforts to improve quality, productivity and cost reduction

Drive change projects to strengthen the position of the plant e.g. Health and Safety

Further development of the strategic and operational plans for the local plant based on the group targets

Evaluation and recommendation of production investments as well as managing approved investment projects


Your profile

University degree or higher education in mechanical or process engineering combined with a business degree or relevant experience

Experience in plastics and thermoforming processes is a plus

Several years of management experience of a plant preferred (automotive industry or equivalent)

Good knowledge of serial production processes and optimization methods like SPC (statistical process control), lean management, Six Sigma etc.

Experience in working in an international group

Proven track record of driving culture change

Fluency in Slovak and technical English is mandatory

Independent, result driven leader with excellent leadership skills and good intercultural understanding, cosmopolitan character

Our client is an internationally operating company with headquarters in Europe and the US. The company holds a leading position in the manufacture of components for the construction industry. Due to its strong environmental profile reducing waste and energy are key priorities. The Slovakian production site is situated in the south of Bratislava (approx. a 2 hours drive from the capital) with a workforce of 120+ employees.
