Job description, responsibilities and duties
Key Accountabilities:
• The Merck Security Operations Center (SOC) element covering the European time zone (follow-the-sun) is located in Bratislava, Slovakia. The key accountabilities for this position include:
• Administration of Enterprise Encryption Platform (EEP) infrastructure, including installation, upgrades and other applicable changes
• Management of policies in coordination with appropriate business and BT stakeholders
• Full lifecycle management of applicable databases, applications and file stores to ensure adequate coverage
• Performing root cause analysis on EEP infrastructure incidents and recommending actions to prevent recurrence
• Provide verbal and written reporting on EEP coverage, infrastructure health and possible improvement areas

• Knowledge of IT and Cyber Security concepts
• Knowledge of ITSM tools (ie ServiceNow) and various security technologies (firewall, endpoint protection, IDS, etc.)
• Windows and Linux server administration skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills
