Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Overall responsibility for relationship management with external as well as internal stakeholders in order to support company´s strategic goals.
- Building relationships and active communication with public authorities (ministries, municipality office etc.), professional associations and chambers of commerce.
- Active monitoring policies, new legislation and state aid opportunities which may affect operation of the company, driving the discussion regarding the new policies and its impact on the particular company and market segment as well.
- Covering strategic topics on local as well as EU level.
- Acting as the first point of contact in public affairs arena, if needed representing company also from the position of Spokesperson, maintaining relationships with Slovak media.
- Leading various outreach activities focused on company reputation development (mainly sustainability area) – project management and communication also with companies from the third sector.
- Active coaching other members of local top management team in public affairs topics.
- Reporting to Regional Public Affairs Director and CEO.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

- 5 years’ experience in the leading position with focus on public, external or governmental affairs in international company (automotive or manufacturing sector is a plus), or relevant experience in public sector.
- Overview and network of contacts among Slovak authorities.
- Understanding of political decision-making processes.
- Real experience in policy consultation process ideally on national level.
- Knowledge of EU political process is a plus.
- Advanced English language – C1 level –able to communicate on business level, native in Slovak language.
- Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility and ability to integrate into dynamic and challenging environment.
- Readiness to travel across Western Slovakia.
