Frontend Engineer

We are hiring a Frontend Software Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the frontend for an application used by hundreds of thousands of users worldwide and make a meaningful impact at a fast-growing startup, in a small and highly motivated team.

We require that you work at least 50% of your time in-person in Bratislava, Slovakia.

MediSearch (YC S23) is a search engine for medical information. We provide direct answers to medical questions based on trusted sources using LLMs.

Role Description

​This is a full-time role for a Frontend Developer at MediSearch. The role includes

• Building responsive user interfaces
• Collaborating with back-end engineers to deliver features
• Improving performance, usability, and overall user experience of the app, as well as improving its monitoring
• Help shape the technical direction of the frontend as the product grows
  
• If you have iOS or Android experience, you'll have the opportunity to help build the native MediSearch app from scratch

This is an in-person role, based in Bratislava, Slovakia, with some flexibility for remote work, but will require significant on-site involvement.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in frontend development.
• Proficiency in Typescript and React. We specifically use Next.js.
  
• Motivation and excitement to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
  
• Experience with Android / iOS development is a big plus.
