Product Engineer

Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Participate the Product Development of Commodity BiW to grow its sales and secture future business
  • Evaluate the product specifications from the customer (geometry, tolerances, relations between components, mechanical stiffness and other specifications) and define the product architecture/BOM to meet the requirements in terms of product response
  • Participate on the research of new product solutions and application of new materials and processes
  • Support Business Units requests on product related difficulties by providing local investigation and solutions
  • Perform product calculations including stiffness and modal analysis to verify the product definition and specifications
  • Support the process cost estimation team to identify product change opportunities to meet the economical targets
  • Make the product design (3D models and 2D drawings) including GD&T definition and simulation
  • Participate on the application of quality tools (APQP process), specifically the product architecture definition product functional analysis and product FMEA
