Job description, responsibilities and duties
Support Engineer provides remote support for the Marlink Maritime customers and their satellite communication systems on board of the vessels. The support Engineer performs the following activities:
• Customer support via phone and e-mails
• Communication with vessels crew members, field engineers, 3rd party network operation centers
• Technical support for communication products (data, voice services)
• Remote service testing and activation
• Analyzing data records
• Internal network monitoring
• Internal databases updating
Work is performed in morning and afternoon shifts (9:00 - 17:00 during wintertime or 10:00 - 18:00 during summertime) or afternoon (14:00 - 22:00) from Monday to Sunday (40 hrs/week, with 1 or 2 weekends in a month max, then two days are compensated next week)
