Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a talented TV Acquisition manager to join our team who will support the programming acquisition department. The position is based in Prague.

The main purpose of the role is ensuring TV rights for both televisions – TV Nova and TV Markíza.
Our new colleague will be responsible for every stage of the acquisition of license according requests and will ensure end to end process from negotiations to closing the deals in order to achieve targets in accordance with long-term profitability.

• Implementation and managing all acquisition activity to achieve our targets
• Acquisitions of TV content
• Creating of TV solutions and concepts
• Developing demand concept for all the business dealings, strategic initiatives and operations of the company
• Regularly preparation and presentation of meaningful content performance insights that demonstrate the value of content and make substantive recommendations on future content strategies (track, report, and analyze content KPIs and financial metrics
• Preparation of analyses and negotiations
• Tracking deals and maintaining deal database, negotiation history and deal calendar
• Preparation of documents, analyses and presentations for management
• Communication and negotiation with distributors
• Benchmark analysis
• Support of acquisition team in linear channel activities

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Ambitious and driven to achieve personal and business goals
• Proven acquisition experience or proven track of record in a role and possess a strong knowledge and ability to achieve KPIs
• Solid understanding and knowledge of the Czech production environment
• Profesional relationships with producers of content development in the Czech Republic
• Strong organizational skills to keep deadlines in a fast-paced environment and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good analytical thinking (reports, tables, MS Excel,..)
• Excel skills and ability to agile with large amounts of data (financials, behavioral, historical) and able to transform analysis into actionable insights
• Attention to detail
• Effective communicator and excellent presentation skills in English language, other language is a plus
• Team player and being align and understand our strategy despite a personal opinion
• Passion for TV/movies
• Flexibility and willingness to travel (SK-CZ)
• Excellent english skills
