Job description, responsibilities and duties

As our Business Controller Supply Chain your main tasks are:

• Oversee and manage monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting and variance analyses of 3 assigned manufacturing plants and report results to senior management.
• Drive and support projects to harmonize reporting in alignment with other GSC controllers.
• Conduct robust analyses to support decisions and opportunities to achieve group targets including KPI tracking.
• Support and contribute to the preparation and development of forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.
• Support improvement on forecasting process through financial integration with S&OP.
• Constructively challenge the Supply Chain teams to ensure rigor in the performance, numbers and plans.
• Enhance cost monitoring systems and implement and control standard cost calculation on the different manufacturing locations. Support and improve make / buy decisions through comparison between various internal and external cost structures.
• Support functional supply chain owner (Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Spares) with realization of respective plans on both strategic and operational level across Marel’s global supply chain.
• Ensure prevention of (financial) surprises through a good system of internal controls.
• Support and review capex plans.
• Key role in development and coaching the local supply chain controllers.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards

Basic wage is 2000 EUR + travel allowance +13th salary. Agreement on higher wage is possible according to skills of candidate.

Personality requirements and skills

• Strong analytical and financial skills, knowledge on supply chain principles.
• Practical experience in cost accounting, calculation of tariffs and project control.
• 5 years of relevant (supply chain) finance experience in, preferably in an international manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of accounting systems (such as SAP, Hyperion or other ERP applications).
• University degree potentially complemented with Registered Auditor/ Controller grade.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% for global meetings and visiting other supply chain locations.
• Last but not least, as a person you are pragmatic, practical, focused on improving and enjoy teamwork!
