MES Support Engineer - automotive
Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The coverage is 24 hours a day, 5 days a week (Monday - Friday), in 3 different 8 hour shifts (morning, evening and night shift).
- Support, Monitor and Maintain GE Proficy based MES (Manufacturing Execution System) suite of applications and Facility monitoring solution
- Troubleshooting of issues and coordination with Local and offshore cross functional teams (business, IT, 3rd parties, product vendors) for support and operational activities
- Maintaining agreed SLA levels and assuring Quality of delivery at all times
- Follow service management processes (e.g. Incident, Change, Capacity, Problem etc.)
- Stakeholder management, share regular updates and assist in preparing operational reports
- Code Debugging, Bug fixing, test and deployment of applications being supported
- Create and maintain knowledgebase documents
- Adhere to shift rotation plan and Operating model

Personality requirements and skills
- Experience of working and supporting manufacturing systems developed using GE Proficy Suite products
- Working in Shifts
- Experience of working in Automotive manufacturing environment from domain perspective
- Experience in MES solution design and deployment
- Development experience on SCADA system
- Hands on VB, SQL, Store procedure
Technical Skills (Must Have)
- GE Proficy Product Suite (CIMPLICITY, Tracker, PFMD, Historian, Open Enterprise )
- MES Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of PLC, OPC Servers (Kepware and RSLinx), SCADA Systems
- Basic RDBMS Skills (Mainly SQL Server-Writing SQL queries, stored procedures etc.)
Technical Skills (Desirable)
- Microsoft .NET – VB.Net,C#.Net
- OPC
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) (Good to Have)
- Knowledge on Workflow and Plant App
- PLC Programming
