Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on leader to drive our “Factory of the Future” agenda in a manufacturing plant with 1,500 employees in the automotive industry.
This role is responsible for leading digitalization and automation projects across production, logistics and support functions – with a clear focus on effi ciency, cost impact and sustainable operations.
Main roles and responsibilities:
data integration (MES, IoT, systems connectivity)
robotics and advanced automation (e.g. cobots, AMR)
data analytics and performance dashboards
This role is responsible for leading digitalization and automation projects across production, logistics and support functions – with a clear focus on effi ciency, cost impact and sustainable operations.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Drive the digital transformation of the plant (Industry 4.0 initiatives)
- Identify and deliver automation opportunities in production and logistics
- Lead projects such as:
data integration (MES, IoT, systems connectivity)
robotics and advanced automation (e.g. cobots, AMR)
data analytics and performance dashboards
- Ensure all initiatives are business-driven (cost savings, efficiency, quality)
- Build and manage a roadmap for Factory of the Future
- Cooperate closely with production, engineering, IT and central functions
- Lead cross-functional project teams (no pure “theoretical strategy role”)
- Track results and ensure measurable impact (productivity, OEE, cost)
