Job description, responsibilities and duties

The position is filled for the new Magna plant in Kechnec.

  • Become the first point of contact to support for our Engineering systems.
  • Track common issues and report them to the development and/or training team to be addressed with permanent fixes, software enhancements or training material.
  • Develops guidelines and upgrade techniques for new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
  • Develops operational, installation, and upgrade procedures, to be used by other staff, for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software. Serves as a liaison between other technical staff, management, users, and vendors regarding service requests, usage, standards, security, and other technical matters.
  • Analyzes the need for, and develops, documents, implements, and monitors, information technology quality assurance standards.
  • Participate in or lead the problem and root cause analysis in support of Problem Management.
  • Ensure operational support documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work.
  • Receive and respond to advanced troubleshooting telephone calls and service requests from customers needing assistance. Interprets and analyzes problems by using automated diagnostic programs. Provide phone and/or Teams support as required.

Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Information Technology or similar

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Office 365 - Advanced

Experience in the position/sector

Personality requirements and skills

  • Proficiency with computers, typing, troubleshooting software, etc.
  • Knowledge of the automotive or other manufacturing industry.
  • ITIL Certification a plus
  • ITSM and SAP experience a plus
  • Experience with Office 365 (Teams, OneDrive, Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
