Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

* As the Senior Accountant, you'll be an integral part of an international team. Your main responsibilities will include:
* - Reviewing and posting journal entries (e.g., travel expenses, cash, payroll) in close collaboration with the shared service center,
* - Providing expert advice on invoice accuracy from both tax and accounting perspectives,
* - Coordinating Fixed Asset Management tasks, such as asset deployment, allocation, and depreciation,
* - Offering day-to-day operational support to the business units,
* - Analyzing and evaluating the general ledger, recommending enhancements and corrections where necessary,
* - Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings,
* - Compiling monthly VAT declarations, summary statements, and audit reports,
* - Assisting in the preparation, or directly preparing, Income Tax returns,
* - Generating and submitting reports to the Statistical Office and National Bank of Slovakia,
* - Reporting on Intrastat transactions,
* - Preparing local financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements,
* - Coordinating and preparing documentation for external audits, maintaining regular communication with auditors,
* - Ensuring adherence to established Internal Control procedures,
* - Contributing to forecasting and budgeting processes,
* - Collaborating with Group functions to ensure financial compliance,
* - Addressing management inquiries regarding various financial matters.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

* Education in a relevant field (such as accountancy, taxation, economics, etc.),
* Minimum of 2 years of professional experience,
* Proficient in English at a B2 level,
