IT Engineer / Database Administrator

As IT Engineer / Database Administrator, reporting directly to the Head of IT Infrastructure, your role is to oversee the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our databases, servers and database solutions based on the Microsoft SQL Server platform. This will be achieved through monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all related processes while providing expertise in architecture and decisions. Using efficient communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, the candidate will identify, communicate, and resolve issues with the overall objective to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

The candidate will be responsible for operational activities related to our database infrastructure. You will ensure optimal database performance by analyzing database issues and monitoring database performance and you will closely cooperate with the IT infrastructure team.

Main tasks
- Manage database infrastructure changes and re-designs
- Analyze database server issues and troubleshoot or configure the database accordingly
- Monitor database performance to ensure high levels of security and speed
- Contribute actively to the improvement and development of existing infrastructure
- Contribute to the definition of architecture and database administration
- Participate in the implementation of high availability solutions
- Contribute to the configuration of recovery, disaster recovery and backup plan models
