Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join our technology team and drive the development of innovative electromechanical components for top automotive brands. In this role, you will lead exciting technical projects in an international team, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and bring high-quality designs to life that meet both LEONI and customer standards.

What will be your responsibilities?         

  • Taking full ownership of electromechanical component development for assigned automotive projects
  • Managing technical RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes and leading related concept projects with customers
  • Providing technical project leadership for an international team within the Technology department
  • Defining and clarifying design requirements with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Executing design tasks in line with LEONI and customer guidelines and specifications
  • Conducting and supporting Design Reviews to ensure quality and compliance
  • Acting as the main contact for customers and suppliers, maintaining close cooperation with their engineering departments

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

What do we expect from you?

  • Secondary or university degree in a technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive development or similar, with knowledge of technical project management
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Catia, NX, or similar is an advantage)
  • Expertise in plastics or metal processing technologies and knowledge of technical standards
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is an advantage
  • Communicative technical English (minimum B2); German is an advantage
  • Strong technical and logical thinking, responsibility, attention to detail, independence, flexibility, pro-active and a category B driving licence (advantage)
