Resident Operations Support Engineer

what will you do
The Resident Operations Support Engineer is assigned to T-systems account. There is potential for hybrid/home office working conditions. You will report to our Professional Services Senior Manager.
What You will do:
Understand customer setup and customer infrastructure
Be point of contact and interface to the customer for Lenovo cloud infrastructure operational support
Assist and contribute to the resolution of daily operational challenges just like but not limited to:
Lenovo support ticket management
Mediate between Lenovo support and the operations teams
Provide knowledge transfers and trainings to improve operational excellence.
Help with ad-hoc non-operational support related requests (troubleshooting, updates, advices or clarifications) and provide actions plans.
Increase positive customer experience with Lenovo products and services
Provide findings and recommendations to improve customer’s service experience, service delivery metrics, and desired services outcomes
Provide status updates to assigned PM and support status reviews
Team up with Lenovo delivery and support functions
IT Technical skills we require:
Virtualization platform – VMware
Troubleshooting and tuning VMware ESXi hosts/servers
Experience with Firmware, ESXi patching
Experience with vendor support (case opening, handling…)
General overview of Windows, Linux, Network, Storage
VMware Cloud Foundation overview
