Linux Administrator - Paternity Cover

We are looking for a Linux administrator to join our WW Managed Services team!

This is a very exciting opportunity to join a technical team that provides remote system administration services to our clients.
We enjoy working closely as one global team on 3 shifts following the sun operation model delivering outstanding professional services to our clients. This EMEA part of the global team works from 7:30 to 15:30.

What we do and what you will be a part of:

• We remotely monitor client's data center systems to find and resolve problems for them remotely.
• We keep our client's systems updated and perform quarterly health checks.
• We communicate extensively with clients, field service personnel, solution developers, hardware developers, and product engineering personnel.

What are we looking for:

• Experience of 1-3 years with Linux Operating System
• Ability to perform OS administration tasks, installation and upgrades with no supervision
• Incident, change, and problem management
• Ability to perform high level of problem determination
• SLES/RHEL experience, however other Linux derivatives are fine
• Knowledge of the RAID management, hardware replacement and cooperation with vendors
• Remote management card experience such as XClarity, IMM, ILO
• Scripting skills including Linux command line scripting ie BASH, Python, Perl
• Linux network management, bonding, troubleshooting
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP stack and ports
• Ability to work in a ticketing tool
• Very good English written and verbal skills
• Demonstrated dedication to clients
• Willingness to work occasionally on weekends and holidays

Experience with below as an advantage:

• Monitoring & Management based on Nagios, Zabbix
• High Availability clusters and failover mechanism in Linux
• SAP HANA or Basis team experience is a plus
• HPC / Storage / VMware knowledge

You will report to SSG (Solutions & Services Group) organization structure.

Base gross monthly salary starts from 1.800 EUR. The final offer could be, of course, negotiated higher than the advertised minimum - it all depends on your experience! In addition, there is also variable part (a bonus) in value of 12% of your annual earnings.
