what will you do

The Lenovo DCG Worldwide (WW) Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Project Manager. You will work within the WW Marketing team, an organization focused on the DCG brand, outbound marketing and portfolio enablement. As a WW Marketing Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects through the full project life cycle (from initial scoping to close-out). You will also be responsible for delivering quality outcomes within budget and timeline, while meeting expectations of customer satisfaction and business adoption. You'll need to be motivated to engage with product managers, product marketing managers and WW marketing peers to guide and enable their success, agile in response to changes and needs of various stakeholders, and analytical in identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies across other projects. You will need to have great communication skills, as you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams across the globe throughout all project phases.

Primary job responsibilities:

• Manage projects identified by DCG launch team using the WW marketing standards, governance, structure and standards, and related processes and tools to ensure strategic alignment and connections and clearly defined impact measures.
• Support development of business cases, project scoping, project alignment, and process documentation to ensure clarity and accountability of deliverables.
• Partner with key stakeholders such as product managers, product marketing managers and team peers, maintaining effective working relationships, and provide timely updates on project progress.
• Manage and escalate project risks and issues as needed, anticipate stakeholder needs and formulate solutions, and in general respond to the variability involved in any key initiative.
• Participate in DCG project kick-off, stakeholder analysis, lessons learned (Fupan), and the integration of work from multiple teams and multiple vendors to deliver project success.
• Ensure that all deliverables and commitments meet quality standards and expectations.
• Guide projects in consideration of organizational change management implications, considering communication, stakeholder management, training, and adoption.
• Guide the request for proposal (RFP) and request for information (RFI) process for projects as required; work closely across teams to guide effective selection of delivery and solutions partners.
• Partner with WW marketing teams and GEO web teams to ensure that projects have a robust service delivery model.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Lenovo or vendor-specific.
• Use an open and collaborative approach to working with strategic stakeholders in the DCG team and across the business.
• Develop project management skills leveraging Grow@Lenovo, consulting, mentoring, and enablement activities.
