Job description, responsibilities and duties

As Front Office Manager, your department is the first and last impression that a guest has of the hotel, so it’s your job to ensure it’s a good one. Top of the list of responsibilities is to make sure your team on the front desk are well-trained, friendly, and offer a warm welcome and speedy, efficient check-in and check-out service for guests.

As a key member of the hotel's leadership team, directly reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for ensuring a great and genuine welcome to each of our guests, dealing with the guest requests while maintaining a high level of service, verification of the financial operations with the guests and bank, staff and resources planning, managing guest satisfaction, building trust and loyalty, close cooperation and continuous process improvement with other hotel departments, timely and precise reporting and daily financial controls.

Selected Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Managing and training the whole team
• Ensuring the front desk provides a professional and friendly service for all guests and customers
• Dealing with guests, including handling complaints or critical situations over the phone or at the desk
• Troubleshooting emergencies
• Scheduling your staff
• Liaising with other departments
• Hospitality KPIs tracking and follow-up
• Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting
• Stock inventories and expenses control
• Finance procedures & controlling
• Reporting analysis with relevant peer department heads

Essential Requirements

• At least 2 years experience in a similar position or at least 4 years experience in Deputy Front Office Managers role is a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional customer service skills required
• Knowledge of hotel PMS Opera system preferable
• Understanding of accounting procedures also a plus
• Good eye for detail
• Proven leadership and development skills
