Simulation Engineer - Digital Twin

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Great opportunity has arisen within AME team. This role is to support the Digital Twin strategy for European and Africa Lear plants. We are looking for a driven and motivated person who will based in Slovakia or Czech Republic and will be open for travels up to 25% to our regional plants.


Scope of duties:

  • Designing the production and logistics process in Virtual reality
  • 3D Layout Planning with the task to create digital models for 3D layout planning with all active production & logistics processes (allowing Plant Teams to simulate various scenarios)
  • Participate in layout planning workshops on-site, with key Plant stakeholders and AME plant support
  • Train Plant key users for usage 3D layout planning SW
  • Create working models for all processes for all awarded projects to allow local static simulations to be run with key variable changes by the AME and Plant IE teams, to confirm capital requirements, ensuring Lear maximizing the value from capital expenditure.
  • Virtual Reality training
  • Sharing lessons learned & best practices out of simulations including spreading culture of “digitalization” within Lear

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering / Manufacturing / IT / Mathematics
  • English language at a very good level
  • Very good understanding of manufacturing processes in automotive industry
  • Previous professional experience in area of industrial engineering/process engineering/lean manufacturing/automatization or related in automotive company
  • Ergonomic awareness and FMEA experience is advantage
  • 3D layout simulation software training & experience would be a huge advantage
  • Strong IT skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Very good communication skills – comfortable in presenting to all levels within the business
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of working time within Europe and Africa
