A new and exciting position has been approved for a Launch Engineer based in Nitra JLR.
Once the final logistics flow has been set up for SOP (Start of Production), supervises daily Service Center activities relating to the Program.
Manages actions directed to customer satisfaction, optimizing productivity, service, reliability, quality of processes, cost and value added.
Provides primary interface with JLR/1st Tier Logistics Departments and Lear production plants.
Interfaces with logistics provider supporting plants and customers with daily operational issues. Reporting directly to the Service Center Manager.


The key responsibilities of the Launch Engineer for Nitra JLR will include:



To provide Lear Engineering representation and build support at the customer manufacturing facility - JLR Nitra.
To provide engineering liaison to the customer for Lear EDS (Electrical Distribution System) products, control of issue resolution and change control to ensure continued vehicle production.
• Change Control (Understanding latest level parts);
• Raising change request documents to affect changes;
• Write Rework Instructions;
• Understand timing milestones and ensure Lear activities in the Customer Plant align;
• Detail Design / Issue resolution / Tracker updates;
• Participation/presentation at Customer Launch Reviews;
• Attend “start up” and “wash up” meetings for the build, plus attend customer issue meetings. Take away issues and provide responses in the required time;
• Represent and protect Lear interests at Customer reviews/meetings/ Track side issues;
• Liaison with the Core Engineering Team and Manufacturing plant to ensure issue resolution;
• Support Launch Manager in all Engineering related issues;
• Co-ordinate with the Lear Quality Liaison to ensure quality related issues are progressed;
• Liaison with Rework coordinator for implementation timing feedback to the customer;
• Continuous Improvement.

Secondary with school-leaving examination

University education (Bachelor's degree)
