Job description, responsibilities and duties

Position Supplier Quality Engineer will be manage the supplier components qualification for new project. To manage supplier quality process from pre-serial to serial phase in project. This position is located in Voderady. Voderady is a JIT Complete Seat Assembly facility with approximately 550 staff covering a space of 10,000 SQM; due to a large increase in customer volumes, we will be increasing this to over 1000 staff covering 22,000 SQM by 2019.


As Supplier Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)

•Provide Operations Teams with the Tools, Metrics, and Training to Execute the Delivery of Seatsto Meet Lear and Customer agreed contracts.
•Provide Operations Management with Measureable feedback in the form of metrics on how individual products and operations units are performing, and help develop risk mitigation strategies and executable plans to limit Lear’s risk to operational, product, and deliverable non-compliance.
•Ensure that Lear’s Global Contractual Partners (Suppliers) execute and deliver product capable of meeting Lear quality and product Quality Standards.
•Support operations team on escalated supplier quality issues.
•Conduct on site problem solving audits as assigned by Manager though Audit Management System.
•If required have short-term assignments at a Lear plant to support during a launch phase.
•Ensure all suppliers are reporting the advanced supplier quality status through profile.

Personality requirements and skills

To be a success in this role you must have:
•Minimum of two years of exposure to processes and procedures at the home plant must be required.
•Fluency in Customer language is a must; a very high level of English and home plant language are assets for the position and a requirement to follow a successful career at Lear.
•Excellent command of 8D methodology.
•Excellent command of PPAP methodology.
•Excellent communication skills at different levels.
