Job description, responsibilities and duties

Business Development Manager is responsible to develop new as well as maintain existing business with national key accounts within Contract Logistics.This position will evaluate the national market regarding potential customers and opportunities with substantial requirements for Contract Logistics.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • This role is part of the national contract logistics business development (BD) team with the tasks to support logistics projects in respect of sales/business development expertise in Slovakia
  • Business Development Manager drives contract logistics sales projects:
  • Analyzes the received RFQ and provides a Management summary leading to a structured Go/NoGo decision
  • Coordinates the different stages of the offers, respecting provided deadline and with accurate rates
  • Organizes the offer presentations to the management and integrates the adjustments if needed
  • Presents the offers to the clients
  • Evaluates market opportunities and feeds the pipeline
  • Prepares market analysis and continuously evaluates company relevant information
  • Reports in accurate and compliant way
  • Cooperates with other company entities in the region and worldwide

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics is an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of warehousing / logistics / supply chain experience is mandatory
  • Excellent knowledge and market overview of warehousing / contract logistics sector in Slovakia
  • Proven ability and experience in developing and closing new business opportunities
  • Advanced English and Slovak / Czech language skills are a must
  • Advanced MS Office
  • Strong communicator and negotiator
  • Excellent understanding and focus on customer requirements
  • Strong commercial acumen
