As a Software Architect in Kistler you will be designing the system architecture of a generic, distributed measurement system.
Our advanced and certified Weigh In Motion (WIM) solutions collect and process traffic data without impacting traffic flow. The measurement technology experts’ portfolio includes comprehensive measurement systems that range from sensors to software.
Besides helping to protect road infrastructure, increase road safety and effectively charge traffic originators, you will work also on a project which helps sportmen to achieve top performance and is used e.g. during rehabilitation and adaptation of prostheses.

You role will include the following:
- Identify and design the appropriate software architecture based on the requirements
- Document software architecture
- Support the development team to implement the architecture
- Evaluate, review and discuss system requirements
- Analyze technical risks and report problems in order to meet system requirements
- Evaluation and analysis of technologies to be used in the implementation

Personality requirements and skills
Must have
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience as an architect
- Experience as a software developer (C#/.NET or C/C++)
- Strong knowledge of Software modeling tools and technologies (UML, SysML, EMF)
- Experience with server-side applications, cloud based systems or IoT
- Analytical and systematic working style
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Affinity to work in an international environment
- Commitment to deliver outstanding quality
Nice to have
- Experience in working with Open Source projects
- Knowledge of communication middlewares
- Embedded system development skills
- Experience with agile development methods
