Job description, responsibilities and duties

Queensway Europe is scaling fast — we’ve gone from 10 to 30+ KFC restaurants across Austria and Slovakia in just two years, and we’re not slowing down. To keep our restaurants and head office running smoothly, we’re looking for an IT Support Technician who’s hands-on, proactive, and ready to grow with us.

️ Head Office Support
  • Day-to-day IT support for office staff (laptops, Microsoft 365, printers, phones, etc.)
  • Manage user accounts, access, and devices (Active Directory or similar tools)
  • Support remote users with VPN or cloud access
  • Set up and maintain workstations and office tech

Restaurant Tech Support
  • Support restaurant teams with POS terminals, kiosks, printers, kitchen displays, and payment systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues affecting service
  • Keep menus, pricing, and POS settings updated and accurate
  • Work with vendors to solve issues (internet, payment gateways, hardware problems)
  • Ensure backups and minimize downtime at all locations

IT Projects & Maintenance
  • Help roll out new hardware, software, or process improvements
  • Keep systems updated and secure (patching, health checks)
  • Maintain documentation and support best practices across the business
  • Suggest improvements to how we work and how we support our teams

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- 2+ years of experience in IT support, ideally in retail, hospitality, or food service
- Good understanding of Windows, Microsoft 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers)
- Experience with POS systems is a big plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain tech to non-tech users
- Friendly, service-focused, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Based in Slovakia, with a willingness to travel between locations
- Fluency in English and Slovak language
