Filmmaker / Video Creator

We are looking for an internal Video Creator Professional to oversee a number of exciting initiatives at Keen Software House.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities will be the video creations for our games, but also for the company in general. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Space Engineers trailers, made in-game, using the replay tool, and then edited in After Effects or similar software
• In-game cut-scenes
• Company videos and presentations
• Team documentaries
• Video post-processing activities

Requirements:

• Passionate about games (not just Keen Software House titles, but games in general)
• 2+ years experience working in a similar role within the gaming industry or a related field
• Experience in indie digital film making - handling digital cameras and video cameras, operating sound equipment, basics of green screen keying and related basic visual effects, set lighting
• Experienced with budgeting
• Casting cast and crew
• Operate the indie level A/V equipment and process it in the non linear editing and FX suites
• Ideally experience with directing actors - and able to demo this skill
• Cinematographer elementary experience (camera blocking, creative lighting) is an advantage
• Video editing skills - experience with game video creations using various tools and software
• Able to design the scenes right in the game engine and capture them
• Experience with on set work - member of at least a couple film crews in past, not necessarily large productions.
• Higher education within film making, marketing or other commercial fields is preferred, but not necessary if a candidate has relevant work experience
• Proficient with office software (for example: Google Docs)
• A team player who is driven to achieve goals and aims to increase their knowledge of the game industry
• Fluent English, both verbal and written
