We are currently looking for passionate, self-driven individuals who want to be a part of our global finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the Accounting Admin team in performing accounting and other administrative duties and help to drive process improvements. You will support our business growth and the Finance Department by overseeing the end-to-end accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles, ensuring accurate reporting and cash management. As Accounting Supervisor you will work with internal and external partners to ensure timely processing of accounting transactions and payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team on a day-to-day basis in the role s/he is responsible for. The team performs various accounting administration functions within the accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles.
  • Identify training(s) and development needs for the team and convert and implement these to “development plans”.
  • Functions as an escalation point.
  • Administration of the Accounting Supervisor: timesheet approval, holiday backup management, workload planning, documentation of the accounting/finance parts, remote working requests, objective setting, annual appraisal and issue resolution (with the support of the local Office Manager).
  • Contribute to develop, implement, and automate the processes & workflows.
  • Help identify areas for improvement in systems and processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy of the AR and AP cycles.
  • Managing purchase order and invoice process from Purchase Order to payments, working with the project management team to ensure timely and accurate Purchase Orders.
  • Help the team to work with suppliers to resolve payment issues and ensure accurate processing of invoices received.
  • Manage sales invoice process from raising sales invoice to receiving payment, working with project management team to ensure timely and accurate Sales Invoices.
  • Credit control responsibilities: monitor payments received and take agreed actions to follow-up on overdue payments.
  • Manage regular data transfers from other group systems into NetSuite, ensuring accurate and timely data.
  • Prepare any financial reports as required.
  • Perform any other administrative tasks as requested by the Office Manager or the Group Finance Team.



Competencies required:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting and project administration
  • Significant experience with accounting for accounts payable and accounts receivable (3+ years)
  • Some experience managing small teams
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Well organized, reliable and pro-active
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent command of English
