MEDICAL MANAGER IMMUNOLOGY
Location: Slovakia
Contract: full time

Take the lead to develop and execute allocated brand medical strategy for both current and pipeline products and indications. Provide scientific support to internal and external customers in response to clinical interest.
Support the sharing of knowledge to internal stakeholders e.g. through provision of training to help to ensure the highest standards of brand/therapy expertise in customer facing teams.
Provide insights around key brand and marketplace themes/trends etc. to SK Medical Affairs team, CVT, CE&B and EMEA teams to help optimize brand/therapy strategy, decision making on current and future license indications and enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.

YOUR responsibilities & YOUR impact:
Customer/External Interaction
• Respond appropriately to unsolicited requests for information and/or data
• Meet with customers and researchers on a regular basis through meetings, conferences etc., to
o Gather information and insights on therapy area and their medical and scientific needs
o Exchange disease area knowledge and opinions in order to understand the emerging opinions
o Increase the customers´ understanding of Janssen products and processes (eg. clinical data, IIS, clinical trials, compliance processes), according to their expressed interests and needs and to seek their advice on the development of our products.
o Manage and maintain positive relationship with Key Opinion Leaders.
o Deliver scientific and medical content for medical advisory boards
o To be the point of contact for investigators proposing investigator initiated studies (IIS) and manage such studies in collaboration with GCO
• Act as Janssen speaker externally – i.e. present scientific and clinical data to HCPs at scientific events
• Support communications department with patient advocacy groups and their initiatives e.g. responding to clinical interest, gathering insights
• Gather information to support the Market Access department (MAD) to ensure our products are presented in an appropriate way so that all appropriate patients benefit from them. To provide MAD with the data they require in an appropriate form so that they can develop relevant documentation to support the initial and ongoing access of our products to the stakeholders.

Internal Collaboration
• As a member of the Country Value Team, feedback insights from customers in order to contribute to cross-functional (marketing, medical, market access, BI and communications) brand team strategies. Additionally, highlight key aspects of the clinical data so that they form the basis of key marketing and educational messages
• Engage with internal stakeholders on topics of mutual interest in order to encourage optimal use and/or understanding of Janssen products
• Network with the Global, EMEA, CE & Baltic Medical Affairs, R&D, GCO, SKM, Medical Education and marketing teams to ensure free flow of information and ideas between the different teams, while aligning objectives
• Inform the Global, European and CE & Baltic teams by verbal and written communications of the local country specific differences e.g. applicability of EFPIA Code of Practice in Slovakia, and of the potential impact these differences may have on marketing of a product, feasibility of a clinical trial in a specific country
• Consult to the Key Account Specialist teams, for example by helping them to manage individual issues they may be facing, as well as by enhancing their understanding and application of company processes (eg. Medical Education process)
• Collaborate closely with GCO (e.g. involvement in trial feasibility), Pharmacovigilance (e.g. addressing of pharmacovigilance requirements in all relevant activities) and Regulatory Affairs (e.g. review of SmPC, implementation of reviewed SmPC in all promo activities, etc.)

Compliance
• Actively engage with SK CVT and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with the necessary Codes of Practice and Laws governing the promotion and sale of medicines within Slovakia
• Review signatory of materials submitted for copy approval. Support Medical Director in preparation of code case materials e.g. literature searches
• In the event of any potential breaches of the Code of Practice, support the complaint´s procedure to defend the position of Janssen including engaging in inter-company dialogue and representation at AIFP/SAFS hearing if necessary

Therapy area knowledge
• Conduct and review literature searches, analyze clinical papers, attend conferences, courses and other such events to be aware of the latest scientific and clinical advances in relevant therapy areas
• Attend courses and industry meetings, read industry publications and discuss therapy area with colleagues to keep up to date with developments within the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical medicine
• Monitor competitor promotional and scientific activities so as to understand their ongoing strategies, as well as to assess their compliance with the Code of Practice

Leadership & Managerial skills
• Overtake full responsibility and accountability for management of assigned projects / activities.

Resource Management
• MAF budget/Allocated project budget

We would love to hear from YOU, if you ideally have:
• University degree, Medical or Pharmacy degree preferable
• 2+ years of previous experience in medical affairs or similar areas
• Clinical experience preferable
• Experience in developing and executing needed concepts and events
• Project management skills
• Deep knowledge in the area of disease /Therapeutic area (nice to have)
• Excellent presentation and business writing skills
• Team worker with good communication skills
• Native local speaker and fluent English knowledge of both spoken and written
• Basics of Biostatistics
• Driving license type B
