Payroll Manager

What You Will Do

Aa Payroll Manager you will be responsible for a team of 1-2 supervisors and will provide management support to over 10 payroll accountants in various regional locations. In addition to the operational support of the payroll team, you will also support various project activities. This includes providing input, guidance, prioritization as well as maintaining relationships with HR and business partners in the region. In this role, you will also be responsible for delivering related automation initiatives in collaboration with colleagues responsible for continuous improvement or automation.

How You Will Do It

  • Coordinates the productivity and quality of the payroll team against established SLAs and quality measures.
  • Ensures team members understand and use payroll tools and processes effectively
  • Leads the delivery of payroll services in assigned countries/locations; manages outsource payroll processing; manages and collaborates with selected external payroll vendor and manages all partners including JCI functional teams as well as third party solution provider partners
  • Prepares team performance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends, proactively applying root cause analysis and countermeasures
  • Establishes a framework for continuous process improvement and promotes related initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of complex processes
  • Establishes and operates a control environment in accordance with compliance regulations
  • Monitors indicators, promotes consistent service delivery through the implementation of a quality system in line with payroll standards
  • Maintains a customer service focus within operations and actively collaborates with regional human resources representatives
  • Participates in payroll integration as part of mergers and acquisitions

  • Proven experience at senior level in payroll operations, ideally in an SSC or international environment
  • Ability to prioritize and plan optimally
  • Ability to lead and empower others, influencing partners and relevant stakeholders
  • Strong focus on complex operational payroll processes
  • Expertise in payroll processing and compliance, experience with knowledge management processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English

Preferred
Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources and experience working in a global company with constantly evolving conditions and processes, the ability to adapt quickly to new conditions and processes.
