Regional Finance Compliance Manager

As Finance Compliance Manager you will be key contact for the European Management team in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls along with supporting them in development of corrective plans to resolve identified gaps. You will be responsible for governance of Finance, Business, Procurement and HR operations as well as for conducting periodic financial audits for different business units Europe.

How you will do it

As an experienced finance Compliance Manager you will be responsible to drive the business to ensure effective financial and operational internal controls are in place and are operating effectively. You will make sure that the Johnson Controls SOX Common Control Matrix is followed and run periodic audits to ensure that all the business units within the region are complying with the internal control requirements.

As a Finance Compliance Manager you will be the key individual to drive all the internal control remediation actions. You will support the business units in the region and both internal - external auditors for SOX purpose during the audit phase, after-which you will be also responsible to review the audit reports with key stakeholders and develop reports and accurate/achievable sustainable remediation action plans which are executed on targeted time. As a finance compliance professional you will support the management team to create and on time submit Management representation letters in every quarter, share on timely basis the control environment reports, and action plans. You will play a vital role of finance compliance partner for the business units in Latam region and identify the risk at country or entity level. You will also be assigned special projects as per the business needs.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or professional accounting qualification, or relevant advanced certifications (CPA, CIA, or equivalent)

  • Minimum 8 years of increasing responsibility working in public accounting (Big4), internal audit or in a Finance Management / Finance Controlling position

  • Strong oral & written English language skills

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Proven working experience with Sarbanes Oxley, US GAAP, and Risk Assessment process

  • History of demonstrating global business acumen with experience in working successfully in a multinational, matrix driven organization

  • Analytical and process oriented with proven ability to drive accountability and results

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, discussions on senior level

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at the most senior level

  • Demonstrated cross cultural awareness

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

  • Experience with Onestream, iScala, Oracle and SAP

  • Comparable industry experience is a benefit

  • Multinational background preferred

The gross monthly salary for this position starts from 3500 EUR per month, plus a monthly bonus that starts after your first 6 months.
