What you will do

Cloud Solutions Engineer delivers the complete cloud computing architecture capable of supporting a ‘Cloud First’ approach for our organization globally, while also ensuring a successful transition of the present compute footprint to the cloud.

This role leads cultural change for cloud adoption, coordinates the cloud architecture deployment, and develops a cloud strategy that meets our future global business needs. The cloud computing delivery model includes the front-end platforms, servers, storage and the networks required to deliver and manage the cloud environments.

How you will do it

  • Build positive relationships across the business and partner community to ensure that the delivered solutions meet the required business value while also acting as the technical authority and partner concern point for all cloud technical issues

  • Perform solution design based on internal customer requirements in the areas of public/private cloud IaaS and PaaS offer

  • Perform analysis of existing on-prem application readiness for transition to cloud

  • Perform engineering design evaluations for new environment builds

  • Architect, implement and improve possible automation for cloud environments

  • Implement industry-standard security practices during implementation and maintain them throughout the lifecycle

  • Maintain deep industry knowledge of the market for cloud services, enterprise applications, business process management, advanced analytics, and integration software.

What we look for

Required

  • Experience implementing approved architectural blueprint solutions using Azure, GCP, AWS or OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) IaaS/PaaS services

  • Experience with setting up and maintaining Cloud Infrastructures (Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Project Folders, etc.)

  • Experience in large-scale & complex IT infrastructure design

  • Skills with Azure ARM Template or GCP Templates – maintaining and updating templates

  • Relevant on-premise infrastructure architecture such as VMware, Hypervisor, Storage Arrays, Network and IT Security

  • Experience in administering Microsoft Windows Server (2008 – 2019) and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux

  • Experience in one or more scripting languages (PowerShell, BASH, JSON, YAML, Python, PERL)

  • Experience with Cloud-native and traditional monitoring, patching and replication tools (Azure Monitor and Update Manager, GCP StackDriver and Patch API, Red Hat Satellite, etc.)

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science

  • Certification with any of the top industry Cloud Providers (Azure, Google, AWS, etc.)

  • Formal Network or Storage certification

  • Experience with containers and orchestration tools (i.e. RedHat OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, AKS, EKS)

  • Knowledge of service delivery automation, DevOps implementation and service improvement initiatives (CI/CD Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub)

  • Experience with Ansible Core or Tower

  • Solid understanding of HashiCorp Terraforms

If you are relocating to Bratislava to join Johnson Controls, you will be eligible to receive a housing allowance to help you setup your new life in Slovakia.

The gross monthly salary for this position starts from 2500 EUR per month, plus a monthly bonus that starts after your first 6 months. Please note this is a minimum salary and our compensation packages are based on your professional experience and qualifications.
