Team Leader Operations

What you will do Schedules, manages and monitors the flow of work through the data center operations team in order to satisfy business needs and comply with operational level agreements.  Responsible for daily operational activities including Incident Response and Operational Monitoring for the data centers globally.  Responsible for service delivery and support including incident, problem, request, change, availability, and continuity management within defined Operating Level Agreements.  
How you will do it Supervises a team of Administrators to provide operational support for all data centers globally. Ensures that application, backup/restore, and system operational procedures are accurately followed in order to preserve and secure the integrity of JCI data. Maintains processing schedules and adjusts to accommodate unscheduled processing requirements, hardware failures, software failures, and outages while maximizing adherence to operational level agreements. Provides for system continuity including scheduling of hardware preventative maintenance and repair. Interfaces with and provides support for vendor technical support and Global Infrastructure personnel during outages and incidents to expedite the resumption of normal operations. Monitors system availability and provides reporting in support of Operational Level Agreements. Monitors system performance and throughput and reports issues and anomalies to the appropriate platform administrator. Participates in the planning and execution of workload migrations and consolidations. Interfaces and coordinates with application support teams and regional Global Infrastructure groups including platform, network, and help centers to ensure appropriate procedure are documented and followed. Collects and reports data on processing outages and problem resolution for the data center systems. Trains staff in the use of industry best practices, established operational methodologies, and the procedures prescribed by other regional Global Infrastructure groups including platform, network, and help center. Instills customer service attitude and work ethic throughout the department. Ensures team adheres to SOX policies and gathers evidence for SOX audits. Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards. Performs IT system administration duties to provide 24 by 7 operational supports for all data centers, a global computing environment consisting of numerous assets Creates and revises operations procedures, work instructions, shift schedule and other operations documentation Performs daily activities of the Operations Center

Who we look for
Essential 3-5 years of Information Technology working experience. 1+ years of Information Technology leadership experience Ability to work across multiple time zones with a diverse group of people of different skills, backgrounds, departments, cultures and management levels. Ability to recognize and respond to customer expectations with a sense of urgency. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in speaking English. Understanding of Windows/Unix server technologies is desired
Preferred Understanding of storage technologies is an advantage University degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems
