Director, Business Hosting - Central Operations

What you will do
Provide leadership and operational direction for the Business Hosting Central Operations organization. Responsible for all daily and regular operational activities across the enterprise computing platforms. Ensure adherence to Operating Level Agreements for enterprise computing environments and leverage operational metrics for continuous improvement opportunities. Responsible for service support for all data centers 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

How you will do it
• Provides operational leadership for the Central Operations organization, including the development of the overall staffing plan and operating model to ensure consistent service delivery according to the Operating Level Agreements.
• Manages team of professionals to provide 24 by 7 operational support for all data centers, a global computing environment consisting of approximately 6,000 servers and over 6 terabytes of storage and approximately 10,000 servers in remote sites.
• Provide operational and DevOps support for the JCI cloud and hybrid cloud environments, in alignment with the Cloud Transformation team.
• Oversee relationships with external partners, suppliers and vendors, to ensure they provide services underpinning the organizational OLAs.
• Engages proactively with the business unit IT organizations to understand service delivery priorities and to gain feedback regarding service delivery effectiveness.
• Ensures the implementation of change requests are completed on-time and with the highest quality.
• Manage and build relationships with global IT leadership, including regional IT leaders, global/regional application owners, and global infrastructure peers and team members.
• Continually reviews operational performance to determine opportunities for service and cost improvement through the identification and adoption of industry best practices and innovations. 
• Benchmarks hosting model against competitive landscape to ensure services, SLAs and costs provide value to our customers
• Trains staff in the use of industry best practices and are prepared for career path opportunities to engineering.
• Provides input into the strategic direction of the global infrastructure organization.
• Provides feedback to Business Hosting Engineering and Architecture regarding existing and new technology standards and procedural documentation.
• Provides regular updates on department activities, including providing service metrics for the service delivery reviews.
• Ensures that SOX procedures are defined and diligently followed and that SOX evidence is gathered in compliance with the audit schedule.
• Adheres to the Company’s Ethics standards.

What we look for
• University degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems. Masters degree preferred.
• 15+ years of Information Technology work experience.
• 7-10 years of Information Technology team leadership experience, including the direct leadership of data center or operations organizations.
• Significant experience in the development of policies and procedures for complex enterprise computing environments.
• Knowledge of Unix (HPUX), Linux (RedHat and SUSE), Windows operating systems, and virtualization technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V), enterprise storage systems, and backup technologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ITIL Service Delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with global teams, including the management of resources in multiple locations.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in speaking English.


Starting from 4400EUR/month gross (plus a 13th month salary) based on relevant experience*
