Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are a London based financial services startup platform and we are looking to expand our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be in charge of our social media, creating informative and shareable content related to hiring in the Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) financial space, industry news, M&A, recruitment, careers, etc.

Job purpose:
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, can write quickly and entertainingly, and has some digital publishing or marketing experience
You will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts
You will be working closely with the Director of Marketing and the CEO
You will be scheduling social media posts, updating the company website (experience with WordPress websites would be beneficial but not essential), helping to generate creative ideas for our blog posts and other content, setting up partnerships with various events and media companies in the industry, producing company promotional materials
Keeping track of these tasks, across multiple campaigns, will be super-important; expertise with social and digital tools (e.g: photo & video editing, Canva, Photoshop) is a major plus.

Your Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
Define most important social media KPIs
Create and manage social media content, as well as managing our WordPress career platform
Measure the success of our social media campaigns
Create marketing materials (brochures, banners, print ads, etc.)
Work with journalists, designers and developers, to ensure content is informative and appealing
Monitor SEO, web traffic and user engagement and suggest content optimization.

Personality requirements and skills

BA graduate, preferably communication or marketing studies
Your written English should be perfect: creative, accurate, and idiomatic
Using social media for brand awareness and impressions
Familiar with using social media tools such as Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook
Excellent knowledge of social media best practices, understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
Some experience in a digital marketing or editorial environment and/or financial services is highly desirable
You’re calm and organised under pressure, managing a multitude of to-dos across different projects at any one time
You’re creative and commercially insightful, and can come up with good ideas of how to connect us with our audience
You’ll have previously published writing we can see (of either an editorial or commercial slant) even if it’s on your own blog or social channels (desirable)
Familiarity with web design and publishing
Excellent multitasking skills & perfect time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
