OPPORTUNITY
This position will play a key role within Quality Engineering to support activities across the EPMC and the vehicle plants. You will need to work collaboratively with a number of different functions, including CME, PD, MPM STA, MP&L and the Customer Plant manufacturing areas in the resolution of issues on projects and the tracking of resolution through to completion.
The mainstay of the role will be the ability to support initial investigations and to identify potential root cause for Customer quality concerns, as well as being the point of contact for the EPMC.
Implement containments within Customer plants to ensure Customer build is protected.
Raise Standardised Problem Definition (SPD) reports to the relevant teams to support issue resolution.
Support Level Zero/Line Trial activities within the Nitra plant.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop within the role as the Plant Quality capabilities grow and mature.
This is a high-profile position within the Plant Quality Engineering team and the scope of work will be both varied and demanding. The role would report to the Senior Quality Engineer.
This role is based in Nitra. However, some international travel will be required to support the requirements of the role
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the primary interface across the Nitra plant on behalf of EPMC.
Lead initial investigations and creation of the Standard Problem Definition that will then be shared back into the EPMC.
Support standard diary reviews within Nitra and EPMC.
Support accurate problem solving within Nitra plant, coaching teams to follow the standard problem-solving techniques and be able to challenge the teams openly, with integrity, to drive continuous improvement.
Update vehicle plant quality systems with issue resolution steps (IQM / / AIM / Etracker).
Report QE scorecard metrics for pulls & rectifications that occur at the Nitra plant.
Analyse trends in failure mode themes to drive proposed plant improvements.
Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
When required, support EPMC quality hold reviews related to pulls & Rectifications.
Carry out weekly walks within the Nitra plant (5s / SWC / Safety Walks).
CANDIDATE
Essential:
Driving license for travel across the UK plants, when in the UK.
Passport for international travel as required.
Experience with engine rectification.
Flexible approach to job responsibilities and working hours.
Strong Customer Service experience – Demonstratable background of effective customer issue resolution.
Demonstrable ability to create and lead detailed and effective action plans.
Demonstrate the ability to lead a team to solve problems and install effective countermeasures.
Ability to share technical knowledge effectively with others.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively – Verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Proven ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
Proficiency in English language.
Desirable:
Project management experience.
Ability to adapt to new production and testing technologies, i.e. Electrification (EDU).
A good knowledge of JLR system & tools.
