OPPORTUNITY
As part of the Employee Relations team within HR Direct you will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to people managers on ER issues and will support the delivery of a broad spectrum of ER related operational projects

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

● Support day to day ER issues on site – e.g. discipline, grievance, absence management, change management, restricted workers. Co-operates with local HR Service Operations and ER Manager, ER Senior Consultant, and Engagement Manager to ensure alignment on key ER issues, monitoring of trends in case management, and addressing issues arising.
● Ensure relationship building, regular contact and smooth cooperation with dedicated technology (area) – be key contact person for dedicated technology for ER, legislative and other HR related non administrative issues.
● Support people managers to understand risks and issues associated with different ER cases.
● Manage and resolve escalated ER related queries, identifying and liaising with other Tier 2 areas and appropriate stakeholders/CoE’s, including Legal and Payroll, to establish risks, implications and propose recommended solutions/course of action. Provide support and learning to other team members as required.
● Support communication and training to people managers on their roles and responsibilities in delivering ER processes.
● Ensure that negotiated local Union Agreements are correctly understood by management and employees. Develop and maintain knowledge base (Mindtouch) on ER policies and programmes, to be used as reference material for complex query resolution.
● Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time

Požiadavky

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

● Ideally a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an HR professional role, ideally a generalist background with operational customer facing experience
● Knowledge and experience of operating in a collective agreement environment; multiple terms and conditions of employment, policies and experience of policy development
● Knowledge and experience of guiding people managers on employee relations cases
● Good knowledge of employment contracts and local policies, including risks and implications
● High level working knowledge of employment law and related practices including TUPE, Redundancy, Consultation requirements and employment contracts
● Competent in all Microsoft Office software
● Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
