OPPORTUNITY

The role of Jaguar Land Rover’s Corporate Affairs department is to protect and promote our brand to a range of internal and external stakeholders including our global workforce, media and government. Our role, in the communications team is to anticipate, manage, react to and mitigate against issues that negatively impact the perception of Jaguar Land Rover. As well as proactively create and deliver engaging positive communications from around the business to promote success and awareness.

The role is within Jaguar Land Rover’s Corporate Affairs Internal Communications team, based at Nitra Manufacturing Centre. Internal communications has a critical role to play within the business and within manufacturing. Effective communications has a direct impact on engagement, productivity and quality. With very limited access to email, manufacturing communications requires a unique approach to ensuring all hourly paid associates have effective mechanisms to receive and respond to communications.

The role will involve creating a communications plan and owning all core communication channels, internally and externally including the weekly Team Talk newsletter, digital TV screens and managing business critical employee briefs for the Nitra Manufacturing Centre. A high level understanding of internal communications channels and measurement, including working knowledge and experience of software tools such as Poppulo or similar editorial software, is a must.

The role will also involve sourcing and writing compelling content for a manufacturing audience reflecting our Reimagine strategy and our transformation through Refocus.You will also support the local plant leadership communication, engagement activities including events as well as wider global Corporate Affairs team with news, campaign and internal communications activities as required, knowledge and understanding of the social space is required.

In addition you will also be responsible for coordinating presence of our Nitra Manufactiring Centre on social media.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the delivery of, and supporting the evolution of the Nitra Manufacturing Centre communications strategy
• Senior stakeholder management with Jaguar Land Rover’s senior leadership in Nitra
• Managing the Nitra Manufacturing Centre internal communication channels network (posters, leaflets, presentations, digital screens, e-communication, weekly newsletter, e-employee briefs)
• Lead on the creation of key communications across all Nitra Manufacturing Centre channels including email, e-newsletters, employee briefs, Town Hall meetings, site events, social media
• Work with the wider global Internal Communications team to develop, collate and identify compelling stories and features and elevate across all channels in line with our strategy and transformation
• Create and deliver Nitra-centric employee communications campaigns supporting our business, brands and products
• Use data and metrics to report and provide feedback on engagement good practice
• Support process of auditing the impact of communications and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop opportunities to enhance and improve existing communications channels
• Maintain and contribute to departmental records, documentation, asset archives and calendars which can be used to share information across the Corporate Affairs team, to ensure alignment and to enable us to spot opportunities
• Prepare reports, presentations and management information for the leadership team and other stakeholders
• Undertake any other work as directed by your line manager in connection with the job as may be requested
• Agile and cross-functional working to support supplementary business-wide projects
• Drive communication activities supporting CSR/community projects internally as well as externally, e.g. Nadačný fond Jaguar Land Rover v Nadácii Pontis

Požiadavky

Essential:
• Knowledge of key communications and engagement practices – both tactical and strategic; able to prepare communication strategies and plans
• Excellent communication skills – both spoken and written, in Slovak and English
• Able to produce communications which is relevant and comprehendible for all levels of the company
• Ability to identify good stories from across the business and deliver them through diverse communication channels (traditional as well as digital)
• Experienced in projects and events management and cross-functional cooperation
• Able to negotiate and influence across the organisation
• Strong ability to organise self, and prioritise workload in order to meet tight deadlines
• IT competence is required in programmes such as Excel, Word and Power Point and Poppulo; Adobe Premiere and Photoshop are welcome
• 3+ years Communications experience preferably from business environment
• Full driving licence

Desirable:
• Issues communication: Managing sensitive communications issues, able to identify and prevent potential communication risk
• Experienced in projects and events management and cross-functional cooperation
• A good level of competence with tools to generate engaging and informative contact such as digital cameras and audio visual setups
• Commercially astute – used to working in a business environment
• Working in stand-alone communications role with large organisation and/or a diverse customer group
