OPPORTUNITY

As part of the Employee Relations team within HR Direct you will provide subject matter expertise on employee relations related issues; take the lead and contribute to the project management and delivery of a broad spectrum of ER related operational projects and manage tasks, activities requiring local presence or knowledge for Nitra manufacturing.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical, subject matter expertise and project manage HR Direct aspects of operational projects requiring Employee Relations support, including supporting the delivery of activities such as TUPE insourcing/outsourcing; restructuring/redeployment; employee transfers/exit programmes; pay and conditions negotiations including support with management of weekly operational meetings with unions and other HR cycle plan activities.
Work with the Employee Relations Manager and where required with Employee Relations (ER) CoE to ensure consistent delivery of ER support to projects and delivery of local services or facilities working with local HR Business Partners, TU representatives and service providers as required.
Provide expertise on interpretation and applicability relating to ER to include terms and conditions of employment, policies, TUPE and employment law related matters. Liaise and interface as required with relevant Tier 2 teams and CoE’s on policy development, required updates and deployment.
Manage and resolve escalated complex ER related queries, identifying and liaising with other Tier 2 areas and appropriate stakeholders/CoE’s, including Legal and Payroll, to establish risks, implications and propose recommended solutions/course of action. Provide support and learning to other team members as required.
Co-ordinate and manage ER documentation including employment contracts and related documents, ensuring legally and agreement compliant, liaising with Legal as required. Lead relevant teams to ensure updates are implemented.
Develop and maintain knowledge base on ER policies and programmes, current and legacy, to be used as reference material for complex query and professional services teams, supporting issue and query resolution as required.
Undertake operational process improvement, building in lessons learned, identifying improvements to processes, knowledge base or training required. Liaise with ER CoE for required policy updates.
Support and lead, where appropriate, the development of the project scope and plan for longer term solutions for current local facilities/services including optimisation of processes and operating model.
Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time


CANDIDATE

Essential:

Ideally a minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in an HR professional role, ideally a generalist background with operational customer facing experience
Knowledge and experience of operating in a collective agreement environment; multiple terms and conditions of employment, policies and experience of policy development
Good knowledge of employment contracts and local policies, including risks and implications
High level working knowledge of employment law and related practices including TUPE, Redundancy, Consultation requirements and employment contracts
Demonstrated project management and problem solving skills
Competent in all Microsoft Office software
Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
