Facility Engineer

* To ensure the statutory compliance to EU and local regulations governing the safe operation of all mechanical installations across the JLR Nitra manufacturing site.
* To manage and oversee technical building equipment.
* To manage and oversee the safe operation and maintenance of all infrastructure mechanical equipment.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders shutdown activities which may lead to impact production performance.
* Implement safe working procedures and communicate to suitably qualified personnel to ensure risk is minimised in keeping with JLR “Destination Zero” policy.
* Communicate to JLR management on all shutdown activities to ensure good coordination and minimal disruption

*Manage and supervise shift mechanical operatives to ensure compliance
* Set up and implement a preventative maintenance system for mechanical equipment
* Train operatives in all relevant safety and permitting systems
* Ensure maximum uptime for all mechanical equipment across the area of the building services.
* Act as Senior Authorised Person for the site for mechanical installations
* Set the structure with the Site Services Manager for Authorised Person roles using JLR sytems and procedures.

* Will be the Plant focal point for all contracts held with external providers for mechanical related services
* Responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure contribution to plant availability is delivered through world class asset care processes
* Plan and implement training needs and development across the wider engineering team to provide long term knowledge retention
* Is a role model for Health and Safety behaviours and driving all teams towards Destination Zero
* Development of contractor evaluations, service reports, monitoring and auditing with clarity of performance levels.

* Ensures the compliance of self and others to internal and external policies, regulations, statutory legislative requirements relevant to electrical supplies from low to high voltages.
* Preparing and assisting with all audit programs both internal and external (eg ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001)
* Ensures that all systems and activities are compliant at all times with the relevant standards
* Develop, implement and adherence of the teams both internal and external to Health and Safety Permit procedures
* Providing direct support and validation for all mechanical matters on site

*Strong leadership skills in demanding, fast paced environments - min 5 years
* Degree or other recognised qualification in Mechanical * Engineering, Technical Building Equipment,
* Proven experience and understanding of statutory European legislation in Mechanical systems
* Knowledge of modern maintenance processes
* Experience in handling of 3rd party contracts/budgets
* Demonstrated experience in setting up Mechanical maintenance plans.
* Excellent communicator, decision maker and resilient.
* Ability to manage teams of external contractors.
* Track record of meeting stretch maintenance targets in terms of cost and timescale.
* Competent user of MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

* Permanent working contract, working directly for JLR.
* Meals for only 1€.
