SALARY: Base salary 1675€ per month, depending on your experience and skills, yearly bonus 0-15% (paid yearly) and 13th salary


Job Description

This role supports the Manufacturing and Engineering teams with technical and Problem solving skills within JLR Operations. This function is in place to provide support for supplier quality issues on site, liase with the supplier and the wider STA team. It offers technical and problem solving to support in improving supplier performance in current model activities.

Responsibilities:
* Support Shift Engineers / Line Inspectors in order to respond to supplied parts quality concerns as they arise, driving containment of issues within 24hrs and to achieve 8D problem resolution to D5 within 60 days. (as per JLR QOS 055)
* In conjunction with the Supplier Performance Management team (Supply Assurance and Supplier Management), escalate suppliers using the corporately recognised supplier escalation process, who do not respond appropriately to an issue/s in a timely and robust manner. (JLR QOS 088)
* Establish a robust partnership with JLR’s 3rd Party Containment Company, ensuing safe working practices, quality of and robustness of reworks and containments.
* Support and drive supplier related gate hold and Stop Ship activities.
* Responsible for creating and delivering Build Audit (such as WCPA) sufficiency plans and reporting the process out at senior meetings.
* Supporting the weekly Incoming Supplier Quality Management meeting escalating Supplier Quality concerns where appropriate
* Key point of contact and leader in allocated Supplier Quality Concerns within the manufacturing facility.
* Partners with cross functional teams to root cause and problem solve complex quality concerns.
* Pursue productive relationships with internal stakeholder and supplier representatives to drive robust problem resolution and ensure all escalated supplier manufacturing process related issues are resolved in a timely manner
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to maximize Supplier Technical Assistance influence and ensure alignment with Purchasing processes and policy
* Deploy associated department processes and activities to maximise efficicency and effectiveness
* Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Prerequisites

Essential:
* Previous experience in manufacturing or engineering roles
* A proven track record in a manufacturing or technical environment
* Broad experience of managing external stakeholder and supplier relationsip management
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship skills and experience
* Able to manage and execute complex projects on time
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse at all levels of the organisation and with external suppliers/customers
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
* Experienced problem solver and strong advocate of Lean manufacturing
