Industrial Engineer (Maternity cover)

Key Responsibilities:
* Build and manage the launch allocation deck and all relevant output reports, schematics, BMV & direct labour requirements
* Active participation with programme and launch teams from PSC handover from the forward planning team through to Job #1 + 90days.
* Liaise with the AME Process team and authorise processes in an appropriate manner.
* Operate in accordance with the QOS in terms of both process/documentation and timing.
* Advise manufacturing on best practices and lean principals/techniques.
* Incorporate all appropriate lessons learned from previous launches.
* Coach others in the basic functions of JLR work measurement and allocation tools.
* A level of flexibility will be required to support launches at different sites as and when required.
* Actively participate in the handover of the finished allocation to CME.
* Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.

Main requirements:
* Good communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
* Experience of recognized Work Measurement (Industrial Engineering) tools and techniques.
* Analytical ability.
*Ability to explore different options and challenge existing work practices.
*Ability to successfully implement lean principals.
*Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
