Popis práce
The Customs Specialist will have responsibility for the daily import/export processes pertaining to the flow of components into and out of the manufacturing plant based in Slovakia – Project Darwin.
Will be responsible for collating and validating all required import/export information and documents to be drawn from various functions across the JLR business and to be send to 3rd party provider of customs brokerage services.
Will be responsible for correct an timely issuing of EUR1, ATR, Certificate of origin and other documents required for export or import purposes.
Key Performance Indicators
• The customs analyst follows the updated information published on the webpage of Financial Administration, follows the current exchange rates, follows the changes in customs measures/restrictions and complies with them.
• Responsible for timely and accurate submission of customs declarations to customs office and meeting the terms specified by customs legislation and authorizations for customs simplifications.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Good knowledge and understanding of EU and Slovak customs legislation and routines related to daily customs clearance.
• Taking a pro-active role in validating all import/export documents and urgently addressing/escalating any issues and mistakes to Customs manager.
• Responsibility for correct and timely reporting of customs debts.
• Responsible for documents being archived after processing them in compliance with legal requirements and internal rules of JLR.
• Represents JLR on professional level, creating a positive image of the company.
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.
Key Interactions
• Key internal interfaces will be the local JLR Purchasing team, Material Planning & Logistics, Manufacturing, Marketing & Sales, Trading Division.
• Key external interfaces will be with JLR’s supplier base, 3rd party Customs broker and local Customs authorities where necessary.
