Corporate Affairs Manager

This role will be essential to deliver both external and internal communications activities at the Nitra manufacturing plant. It will be the primary point of contact for all PR, CSR and Government Affairs topics in Slovakia.


External Communications

• Develop and implement a communications plan for each manufacturing plant, consistent with overall Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing PR objectives.
• Assist in the establishment and effective communication of manufacturing key messages, especially to support the individual plant activities.
• Initiate, research and write media materials to ensure a proactive presence on the desks of business and other correspondents.
• Identify and exploit opportunities to generate positive media coverage about Jaguar Land Rover’s successes and achievements (& for use in internal communications where appropriate).

Internal Communications

• Develop and produce internal communications channels and products which involve, engage and inform employees across Jaguar Land Rover.
• Communicates Plant and Business Performance to employees through print, digital and face-to-face cascades.
• Deliver plant communications (town halls, monthly briefings, weekly newsletters) and contributes to the corporate internal communication channels.
• Contributes to the internal communications content plan and produce in-depth interviews of senior executives, project and programme managers, from which a wealth of feature material relating to and supportive of company strategy can be derived (for both external and internal purposes).

Government Affairs

• Develop and manage relationships with a key Slovak Officials at both political and civil servant level relevant to our business and support the Corporate and Government Affairs function with broader political messaging.
• Supporting Nitra management team and wider Government Affairs on Slovak regulatory issues that have direct impact on the business.
• Manage relationship with ZAP (Trade association) and ensure most effective usage of ZAP resources.
• Ensure the business is kept fully informed on relevant regulatory changes through regular and timely briefings. A succinct style of communication is essential with the ability to assimilate information and identify key business issues.

CSR

• Scope, plan and implement the community relations and CSR programmes to support the Nitra plant, aligned with the global community relations and CSR strategy.
• Delivery of community sponsored events and awards, community relations volunteering programmes, education initiatives
• Delivery of global CSR STEM initiatives/programmes
• Develop links with local community groups, associated agencies (e.g. councils, charities, education authorities)

Permanent working contract, working directly for JLR.
