The Nitra Training Academy is the first point of contact for both new employees of JLR Slovakia embarking on their training journey with the organisation, and for candidates attending assessment centres for recruitment and selection activities.

The Training Academy Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the Nitra Training Academy in order to provide excellent service to the business. Managing all operational activities of the Training Academy, including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers as necessary. Prepares business plans that support the operation of the center, ensuring milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets and observing IPS Standards.

The Training Academy Manager will work alongside the Manufacturing Operations Team and the Training Manager to deliver the Fundamental Skills and Lean Fundamental Skills training programmes. They will ensure the content of the programmes are updated in order to keep it relevant to Manufacturing processes as they develop. The Training Academy Manager will ensure there is sufficient resource trained as both Master Trainers and Trainers in order to deliver the training programmes to meet vehicle launch requirements. The role holdermust ensure that the Fundamentsl Skills and Lean Fundamental skills training programmes align with the full end-to-end manufacturing training journeys, which will continue in the production areas.


• Effectively plan and deploy resource to facilitate manufacturing training programmes delivered in the Academy
• Accountable for all personnel within the Training Academy
• Support the planning, design and delivery of the required training solutions, to support business needs - in relation to fundamental skills training
• Support and embed Lean methodologies and systems which are aligned to IPS standards in relation to training and the running of the Academy

Požiadavky

  • • Demonstrative knowledge and experience of the role of a training manager.
• High level of knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Able to demonstrate internal or external completion of relevant Training Academy development and delivery.


• Ability to prioritise workloads. Results driven, demonstrates tenacity drive and perserverance, with the ability to deliver in a complex and demanding environment
• Ability to combine short term, pragmatic focus with long term planning
• Resilient, energietic, enthusiastic. Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle changing priorities, whilst responding constructively to new ideas and inputs.

• Computer literate
• Excellent communication and line management skills, able to communite complex ideas in a simple and digestible way, to varying levels throughout the organisation. High level report writing skills
• Effective team player, who actively leads, develops and supports team members
• Abilty to make effective and timely decisions, establishing alignment, clarity and providing direction as required
• Budget and financial management experience
