IT Project Manager

The successful candidate will be an experienced IT Project Manager who will be required to manage existing and new project teams, deliver approved projects, work alongside the Business Analysts to carryout application and infrastructure analysis, problem identification and resolution, coach and mentor project teams in the capability and deployment approach for Plant Floor infrastructure and applications within the JLR manufacturing enviroment.

This role will be expected to work across several different projects simultaneously, managing time effectively, prioritising tasks accordingly in support of vehicle programmes at JLR and support the Portfolio Manager as required.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Manage and lead Project Managers/Business Analysts/Project team on multiple projects, ensuring project delivery to required timescale, quality and cost
• Timely reporting of projects in line with JLR delivery methodology and Portfolio Management processes
• Partner with relevant manufacturing and logistics process owners, and Business Relationship Lead, to ensure that all project deliverables are met.
• Work with the Business Relationship Leads to understand where changes in technology can be introduced and included in projects.
• Work with Business Relationship Leads and Portfolio Manager to plan pipeline of projects, review/approve project artefacts, to ensure an aligned and agreed handover.
• Management and application of required Governance including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management
• Manage adherence to Operational Acceptance processes to ensure timely delivery into Service Delivery
• Manage third party suppliers

• Significant experience managing IT change projects with track record of delivery
• Proven experience of stakeholder management at all levels
• Methodical detailed approach to work context
• Strong analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
• Ability to manage significant risks and issues

• Formal Project Management Qualification
• Manufacturing/Logistics IT background

Permanent working contract, working directly for JLR.
