SALARY: Base salary from 1283 EUR per month, depending on your experience and skills, yearly bonus 0-15% and 13th salary


The Purpose of the Job:
To deliver business environmental excellence for a world class organisation it is essential to ensure robust environmental compliance, deliver energy efficiency, and cost reduction opportunities.
This role is to perform operative tasks in the field of environmental management (waste management, hazardous chemicals management, water management).
You will be supporting these goals now and work closely with a range of colleagues in the Business Excellence team and wider to achieve this so the rewards are recognised at operation commencement.
Initial work will be with the construction team and environmental representatives of different departments and contractors but will in the longer term become part of the operational environmental team. Duties and activities undertaken in the construction phase of the role will benefit the plant and the environmental team when the facility becomes operational.

Job Description

- Supervising work of contractors involved in disposal of waste produced on site (environmental duty of care audits) and ensure best practice is implemented
- Engage with Implementation of the JLR Environmental Management System
- Performing operative tasks in the field of environmental management (waste management layouts, waste segregation, hazardous chemicals, water management, emergency preparedness for environmental accidents on site)
- Updating and delivering employee and supplier’s training programs related to environment
- Maintaining accurate records related to waste management, chemical inventory, complaint investigations, and shipments and disposal of hazardous wastes
- Maintaining and managing of environmental data in company IT systems
- Cooperation with subcontractors in the field of environmental monitoring (emissions, waste water, noise, hazardous waste)
- Keeping informed of current and proposed environmental regulations related to assigned work scope areas
- Performing the internal environmental audits
- Collaborate with implementation of the energy management system

Prerequisites

- Environmental Legislation – EU and Local Slovakian
- Demonstrable experience of Environment Management Systems
- Thorough and wide knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues, ideally within the automotive industry or comparable industry, with experience and knowledge of construction activities
- Able to provide training to improve knowledge of the wider team on site
- Driving change through implementation of best practice at design stages
- Good analytical and reporting skills, excellent PC skills.
- Degree in Science, Environment or Engineering with 3 - 5 years’ experience in a relevant field
- Personable, Good negotiator
- Fluent in English
